Finding the Right Path for You
Complete the Career Interest Check List from Wisconsin's Technical College
- Help identify which clusters (career areas) might be the best fit for you. Based on activities you enjoy, your personal qualities and school subjects you like, the questionnaire ranks the career clusters you may find most fulfilling.
- Go through all 16 boxes
- You will get to the Career Cluster List - The career clusters with the highest score may best suit your personality and interests.
- Click on the Career Cluster link to see career options
After you complete the go to the Beauru of Labor Statistics to find more information about the career you found in the survey
Using the link to the Bureau of Labor Statistics
- In the Navbar is a link for Students
- Go to, “Student Resources” – Career Exploration
Look through the “What are you interested in?” list
- Choose a category
- Choose a field in that category
Open an Excel Spreadsheet document and title it “Career Exploration”
- Change the name of the Tab in the document to the Career you selected.
- Copy the “Quick Facts” table into the page along with the information listed below:
Repeat this for three careers in three DIFFERENT fields found on the, “Similar Occupations” link, choose a career in that link. Title each tab and the name of the career it came from. You will have a total of four tabs.
